All participants, except those attending the Scandinavian harp course in the first period, stay at Valdres Folkehøgskole in Leira. Here, most of the teaching, meals, and course concerts will also take place. It is possible to choose private accommodation, but we encourage all participants to stay at the folk high school as this is important for cohesion and to have the optimal course experience!
The course fee includes accommodation and all meals. You will be served breakfast, dinner, and supper. You prepare your own lunch during breakfast. Remember to pack a substantial lunch!
At the folk high school, the rooms are primarily double occupancy, but we also have a few triple and quadruple occupancy rooms if necessary. Participants are allocated rooms by our staff to the best of our ability. If you have specific requests for whom you wish to share a room with, it's important to indicate this in the form when confirming your spot.
Note! All participants born in 2013 or later must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Participants in the Scandinavian Harp course stay at the hotel Scandic Valdres in Fagernes. Participants are responsible for attending classes, rehearsals, concerts, and otherwise following our regulations.
Parents/siblings who are not staying with their children or participating at the course, and who wish to stay elsewhere, can find several alternatives here.
Valdres camping is the accommodation closest to Valdres Folkehøgskole.
At the festival hotel Scandic Valdres in Fagernes, all teachers stay. A bus will be arranged to transport participants between the hotel and the school every morning and afternoon for those who wish to stay there. It is also possible to take a public bus between Fagernes and Leira.
