Ingrid Jensen is a Norwegian violinist and music educator based in Málaga, Spain.
She holds violin performance degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid (Spain) and Indiana University (USA). In addition, she has completed Suzuki teacher training in Copenhagen at "Det danske Suzuki institutt".
She was appointed Suzuki Teacher Trainer by the European Suzuki Association in 2024 and collaborates in Suzuki teacher training programs in Spain and Denmark. Alongside her music studies, she also earned degrees in musicology and social anthropology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
As a violinist, she has performed with the Orquesta Nacional de España and the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, and worked as a district musician in Northern part of Norway.
With more than twenty years of experience as a violin teacher in Norway and Spain, she joined the faculty of the Conservatorio Profesional de Música “Costa del Sol” in Málaga in 2011. Deeply passionate about music education, she has established new string communities where she has developed both as a Suzuki teacher and as an instructor for advanced students. She founded her own violin studio, Málagaviolínsuzuki, in 2014.
Ingrid is a sought-after teacher and has taught at numerous courses in Spain, Norway, Denmark, Poland, and Germany. Her students have won several solo and ensemble competitions in Spain and Germany.
