Valdres Summer Symphony has opened applications for next year’s courses. On our website, you’ll find an overview of the teachers, detailed course descriptions, and a link to the application form.
As in previous years, the courses are divided into two periods, and you can apply for one or both. The jury reviews all applications and places participants where they will gain the greatest academic benefit.

June 19–24, 2026
- Strings (ages 7–18)
- Harp (ages 7–20)
- Organ (ages 7–20)
June 24–29, 2026
- Strings (ages 7–25)
Admission to the Gnist year-round program is handled through the same application as the Gnist summer course.
Application deadline: January 15, 2026. After this date, the jury begins its work, reviewing each application individually to ensure that every participant receives a program that offers the best possible learning outcome.
Valdres Summer Symphony brings together young musicians from across the country each year. The courses offer intensive instruction from experienced teachers and an environment that fosters growth. For some, this will be their first encounter with the Summer Symphony; for others, it’s a continuation of positive experiences from previous years.
