This evening concert opens with Bartok's enchanting and hair-raisingly difficult solo sonata - for which Nurit Stark won the prestigious Gramophone Award in the "Instrumental" category. Following that is Lasse Thoresen's commissioned work "Every Minute Opens Doors", written for the "Songs of Travel" project. The piece has been created through Lasse's visits to asylum centers and hearing refugees' stories. It is based on the poem "The Refugee" by Vladimir Levchev. The concert concludes with Brahms' beautiful Sonata for Clarinet and Piano.
