The Israeli violinist and violist Nurit Stark studied in the Rubin Academy Tel Aviv (Haim Taub), Juilliard School New York (Robert Mann), Musikhochschule Cologne (Alban Berg Quartet), Universität der Künste Berlin (Ilan Gronich).

She is a prizewinner in the G. Enescu Competition Bucharest, Chamber Music Competition “Premio Trio di Trieste”, L. Mozart Violin Competition Augsburg.

She has made solo appearances with orchestras such as the Israeli Philharmonic (Z. Mehta), Muenchner Radio Orchestra under D. Sitkovetsky, Bremen Philharmonic, Sao Paolo Symphonic Orchestra and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra.

As a chamber musician she has performed in international festivals such as Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest, Schleswig Holstein Festival, Rheingau Festival, Mozart Festival Augsburg, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Pacific Music Festival Saporo, Davos Festival, Tchekhov  Festival Moscow. She has given concerts in Europe, Israel, Japan and USA in halls such as Carnegie Hall New York, Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Vienna, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Mozarteum Salzburg, Tonhalle Zurich.

She has been guesting as a concertmaster in orchestras such as Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Lausanne Chamber Orchestra.

Her love and dedication to contemporary music has led her to perform many world premieres and to collaborate with composers such as S. Gubaidulina, Viktor Suslin, Valentin Silvestrov and Georg Nussbaumer.

For many years she has been working in close collaboration with pianist Cedric Pescia. Their Duo is supported by the Forberg­Schneider Foundation and they have founded together with Cellist Monika Leskovar Trio Stark.
Nurit Stark has also been supported by the Ernst von Siemens Foundation and by the America Israel Cultural Foundation.

She is taking part in avant­garde stage projects (Schaubuehne Berlin, Volksbuehne Berlin, State theater Stuttgart, Bobigny Paris, Burgtheater Vienna) integrating elements of music and theater.

She has recorded works by Feruccio Busoni, George Enescu, Clara & Robert Schumann for violin/viola and piano with Cedric Pescia for Claves Records and chamber works by Olivier Messiaen for Genuin Records. For BIS records she has recorded chamber works by Viktor Suslin & Sofia Gubaidulina.
In Fall 2015 appears her latest recording of "Kafka Fragments" by Gyorgy Kurtag together with the Sopran Caroline Melzer for BIS Records. This recording received the German record critic's prize 4/2015.
She is playing a Pietro Guarneri di Mantua Violin (1710).
