Classic Germs in the Highlands
In July 1886, Edvard Grieg wandered through Jotunheimen and climbed the mountain peak Skinneggen together with his friend, the poet Holger Drachmann. Grieg wrote: “…It was overcast, and many peaks were lost in the clouds. But I was elated, and so was Dr. Drachmann. I feel as if I’ve become young again! And with new zest for work!”
Experience musical gems by Grieg and others at the foot of Skinneggen, performed by young musicians from the Valdres Summer Symphony’s Papillon program.
On Saturday, 6 September at 17:30 at Tyinholmen Mountain Lodge, Frida Leanne Rogn (cello), Andreas Alexander Martinsen (violin), and Nikita Khnykin (piano) will perform works by Grieg and more in the great hall at Tyinholmen.
