This year's artist in residence was born in 1960 in Ringebu in Valdres and currently lives in Ålesund. She is a trained construction engineer and has a Bacelor's degree in arts and crafts from the Academy in Telemark. She also did one year of specialization in drawing and image creation.
Wenche's work combines different techniques, but most are painted in acrylic paint. Her background and interests are reflected in her choice of motifs both in the shape of buildings and landscapes. Her love for nature, especially the mountains, is evident in her art.
