Peer Gynt – ballet performance in collaboration with Valdres Sommerballett
Valdres Summer Ballet and Valdres Summer Symphony present a newly choreographed version of Peer Gynt, created by Sergei Bondur, in which dance, song, and live music come together in beautiful symbiosis. The performance also marks the 10th anniversary of the collaboration between Valdres Summer Ballet and Valdres sommersymfoni
International ballet soloists such as Oleksi Potomkin and Dmitry Chebotar share the stage with young talents from Norway and abroad. Pre-professional students from the Norwegian Ballet School & Academy and the DNBS&A Masterclass Program also appear in central roles, gaining valuable experience in a professional setting. Talents aged 8 to 18 dance alongside the soloists, showcasing a broad spectrum from recruitment and talent development to elite level.
The music is performed partly live by musicians from the Valdres Summer Symphony courses, with Hardanger fiddles and strings contributing to the performance's distinctive sound.
In addition, breakdancer and choreographer Navid Rezvani and soprano Margret Erlendsdottir add extra dimensions to the artistic expression.
The performances are suitable for anyone who wants to experience ballet and music in combination.
