Mini Nutcracker and Family Day at Valdres Folk Museum
Super Sunday!
In Festsalen at Valdres Folkemuseum, we dive into the exciting story of the Mini Nutcracker. What really happens when the Nutcracker comes to life in the summer?
The performance is a short and engaging version of the well-known story, created by the trio På Spissen. Here, children can experience highlights from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite – the performance allows children to participate through simple movements and rhythmic elements, which is part of the group's established working method in their children's productions.
The story is conveyed through music, dance, and adventure in a way that really appeals to the youngest audience members.
After meeting the Nutcracker, we'll move over to Slidrehuset, where children can try out various classical instruments with culture school teacher Eivind Dølerud and take part in creative table activities with Anica Seljestad.
Maybe some will go home with their own homemade Nutcracker, G-key or violin? 🎻🎼🧇
No family day is complete without something tasty! There will be lemonade and waffles for the children – and coffee for the adults. A truly super Sunday!
Bring the whole family and join us for a magical day
