Offering bus service to the audience during this year’s festival

Thanks to a new partnership with Jotunheimen and Valdresruten Bilselskap (JVB), special bus routes are being set up to make it easier to get to and from the events.

– JVB approached us with the idea of setting up buses to our concerts, and we thought it was an exciting offer. This is an initiative we've been hoping for for a long time. It makes it easier for the audience to travel safely to and from the concerts — and, not least, it offers a more social and relaxed concert experience, says Mona Kleven, director of Valdres Summer Symphony.

All buses depart from Fagernes bus station, with the possibility of boarding and disembarking along the route – including stops at Leira and Alti Shopping Center.

A Complete Experience

Tickets must be booked in advance via the concert pages, and it is not possible to purchase tickets directly on the bus. The round-trip fare is 200 NOK per person.

By introducing this service, the festival is taking a clear step toward more accessible and sustainable transport in Valdres.

– This is about more than just logistics. It’s about creating a complete experience, where the audience doesn’t have to worry about driving or parking, and can simply enjoy the concerts and the food offerings. Now they can just lean back and look forward to the experience, adds Mona Kleven.
