Torkil Baden has been a music journalist and critic for NRK and other media outlets. He was also a senior lecturer at the Oslo Academy of the Arts and a church musician.
The new Grieg book is his twelfth on cultural and music history. The previous one, Bach and his organ universe, resulted in a series of lectures throughout Norway in collaboration with local church musicians – including in Valdres.
He lives with his wife Liv, an experienced singer and reciter, in Drøbak (DrøBach!) and in Antibes, France.
