På Spissen is an interdisciplinary trio consisting of dancer Julie Schartum Dokken and pianists Julie Yuqing Ye and Siril Valberg.
In recent years, the trio has collaborated on a number of performances
featuring dance, music, storytelling, and poetry, mainly aimed at children and seniors.
The performances “Mini-Nøtteknekkeren” and “Peter og Ulven” have been shown to children at schools in Oslo and Bærum, libraries in Røa, St.Hanshaugen and Bekkestua, and at the industry gathering Marked for Musikk in Larvik.
In 2024, På spissen, in collaboration with the Hospital Children's Foundation, conducted a tour with “Mini-Nøtteknekkeren” that included 10 performances for children in hospitals in the Eastern Norway region. The project was supported by the Bergesen Foundation and the Arts Council Norway, among others.
In 2023, the trio toured with the performance “The Story of Peer Gynt” in Den kulturelle spaserstokken in Bærum, with 15 performances at institutions for seniors. They have also held individual performances at Smestadhjemmet and at Skøyen aktivitetshus. Overall, the trio has performed at Den kulturelle spaserstokken in 18 municipalities, at almost all of the senior centers in Bærum, at senior centers, senior academies, care facilities, and similar venues for seniors in Oslo and the surrounding area. For the 2025 season, a new tour for children in hospitals and performances for seniors are planned with the program “Harmoniske møter” (Harmonious Encounters).

Julie Schartum Dokken works as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in various dance styles and movement languages, focusing on expressing emotions and telling stories through movement. She is educated at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, NTNU, the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Oslo.
As a ballet dancer, she has experience from both full-length performances and smaller productions and festivals, and has worked as a dancer for To the Pointe Ballet Productions, the Norwegian Opera & Ballet, Florida Classical Ballet, and Bodø Ballet Company, among others. In addition to this, she is also an active performer in contemporary dance and jazz.
As a choreographer, she has worked for, among others, the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, DUOA (which has previously had projects for Den kulturelle spaserstokken Oslo), Barnas Musikkteater, and Vulkan Quartet.

Julie Yuqing Ye is a pianist and teacher based in Oslo. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at venues including the Norwegian Opera & Ballet, Oslo Concert Hall, Edvard Grieg Museum at Troldhaugen, Wigmore Hall, and Milton Court Concert Hall in London. Among the orchestras she has performed with as a soloist are the Oslo Symphony Orchestra, the Bærum Symphony Orchestra, and the Asker Symphony Orchestra.
In 2018, she participated in NRK's Grieg: Minutt for minutt (Grieg: Minute by Minute) with Grieg's Op. 17 Nos. 1-5, and she also appeared in NRK's Meisterklasse (Master Class) in 2012 with Leif Ove Andsnes. She trained at the Barratt Due Music Institute, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she completed the prestigious Diploma in Piano Performance in 2018. She has participated in festivals such as the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Hardanger Music Festival, Trondheim Chamber Music Festival, Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival, and Beijing International Music Festival and Academy. is a pianist and teacher based in Oslo. Siril Aufles Valberg works as a pianist and teacher and is a graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Barratt-Due Music Institute. She has given concerts at the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, the Oslo Church Music Festival, the Helgeland Festival, and the Kaunas Piano Festival in Lithuania, among others. Valberg has performed in the presence of His Majesty the King, won several prizes and awards for her playing, contributed to several CD recordings, and performed at venues such as Troldhaugen in Bergen, the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, and the University Aula in Oslo. As the regular pianist in the interdisciplinary duo “Musikkgalleriet,” she has played more than 150 concerts throughout the country in recent years.
Valberg is a sought-after chamber musician, accompanist, and soloist who regularly plays with various musicians, choirs, and orchestras, in addition to collaborating with a wide range of musicians in different contexts. As an educator, she teaches private students and is the head of the piano section at Toppen International Summer Music School.
