Guro Thronæs-Sivertsen (born 2003) is a soprano from Porsgrunn. In the spring of 2026, she will complete her bachelor's degree in classical singing at the Norwegian Academy of Music under the guidance of singing teacher Ann-Helen Moen. During the 2024/25 season, she was part of Queen Sonja's Singing Competition's “Opera Academy.”
Guro has been a soloist in various works with orchestras, choirs, and bands, including the role of Sœur Mathilde in Dialogues des Carmelites by F. Poulenc with students from the Opera Academy, as Miss Schlesen in the master's students' final production of Philip Glass' Satyagraha at the Norwegian Opera and Ballet during the Ultima Festival in September 2024, and as one of the soloists in Leoš Janáček's The Diary of One Who Vanished during the Valdres sommersymfoni in 2023.
She has participated in masterclasses with Joyce DiDonato (Bergen International Festival 2025), Lise Davidsen (Bergen International Festival 2023), Annette Weber, David Gowland, Randi Stene, Susan Bullock, Michael Schade, Iréne Theorin, Susanna Eken, Anne Margrethe Dahl, Anne le Bozec, Pauliina Tukiainen, Keval Shah, and others, and has participated in summer courses such as the Skagen International Opera Masterclass, Voksenåsen Summer Academy, Lied the Way in Florence, and the Internationale Sommerakademie Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, among others.
Guro is the recipient of the Lilly Foundation's education scholarship for the fall of 2024 and fall of 2025, the Skogestad Foundation's education scholarship for the spring of 2025, the Dream Scholarship in 2023, and has won prizes in the Midgard competition.
