Christian Ihle Hadland, hailing from Stavanger, has established himself as one of Norway’s most prominent pianists, celebrated for his refined technique and distinctive touch. He began his studies with Professor Jiri Hlinka in 1999 and made his debut with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra at just 15 years old.
His international breakthrough came as a BBC "New Generation Artist," culminating in a critically acclaimed solo performance at the BBC Proms. Hadland has since performed with leading orchestras across Europe, collaborating with renowned conductors such as Herbert Blomstedt and Sir Andrew Davis.
A highly sought-after chamber musician, he has served as the Artistic Director of the Stavanger International Chamber Music Festival since 2010. He is a regular guest at prestigious venues like London’s Wigmore Hall and the Bergen International Festival. An accomplished recording artist, his release Holberg Variations won a Spellemann (Norwegian Grammy) in 2015, and his extensive discography continues to receive international acclaim.
