Robin Wilson


Robin Wilson is Head of Violin and Head of Young ANAM at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne and maintains a select studio in the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

His students are prizewinners of international violin competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, and have won the major regional and national music competitions in Australia, many numerous times, including the Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Award, Kendall National Violin Competition, Australian Vocal and Concerto Competition, Australian Youth


Classical Music Award, National Youth Concerto Competition, National MBS-FM Young Performer of the Year, the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Secondary Schools Concerto Competition, the Preston Concerto Competition, the Balmain Concerto Competition and the NSW Doctors Instrumental Scholarship. Students hold professional positions and perform frequently as soloists with Australia’s major regional and professional orchestras. Students have won scholarships to study at prestigious institutions such as the Curtis Institute of Music, The Juilliard School, The Royal College of Music and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
