Changbo Wang

Lyric baritone Changbo Wang from China started his musical career on the accordion. After passing his entrance examination at Shanghai University, he studied for hour years and graduated with distinction. He continued his voice studies in Germany. Initially, he studied at the Hamburg
Konservatorium until attaining a place of study with Professor Martin Bruns at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Tanz Koeln. He then continued his studies with Professor Martin Bruns at the Hochschule fuer Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.

Changbo Wang also worked with Prof. Wolfram Rieger in his "Liedklasse"
as well as with Professor Thomas Quastoff in his "Lied- & Oratoriumsklasse", while still pursuing his studies. Further his work was influenced while cooperating with Julia Varady as well as
attending Masterclasses with Daniel Ferro and Robert Dean Smith.

In 2011 he performed as"der Menschenfresser" in Hans Werner Henze's
"Policcino" at the Theater of Aachen in Germany. Changbo Wang has been a soloist with the "rbb Rundfunkchor Berlin" at the Schola program in 2014.

He was awarded the Lucia-Loeser-Foundation scholarship for the second year in a row and sang the prestigious "Exellenz-Konzert" under the patronage of Daniel Barenboim.
