Course description

A course for interested and dedicated piano students under the age of 18. Valdres summer symphony reserves the right to assemble the course and it's participants in accordans with the information given in the application form as well as the submited recording. 

The course takes place in our 1st course period; June 19th - 24th 2020

OBS: please note that the piano courses will take place at the "kulturskolen" in Fagernes city center. Everyone is therefore driven by bus back and forth during the day with one of our assistents.

Course content

  • Daily individual masterclasses (45 min.)
  • Daily interpretations
  • Performance at a course concert (provided correctly information in the confirmationform, before the given day as announced in the letter of admission)
  • Free admission to a given number of festival concerts, as well as all course conserts
  • Final concert
  • The piano course area provides a number of practising rooms, open from 9 am to 4 pm, or upon request
  • Daily group lessons where the youngest participants play with each other

Criteria for participation

  • Instrument: Piano
  • A guardian must accompany all participants born in 2009 or later. Several participants can share a guardian. The guardian has to be privy to the fact that minor tasks can be demanded during the course
  • The application will not be considered unless the application fee of 300 NOK has been paid
  • Participation requires that the fees have been paid in full before the course starts
  • All applicants must submit a recording of a self-chosen piece, 3-5 min. The video must be added in the application form
