The opening concert of our second weekend marks the beginning of the festivals new environmental profile.
In a symbolic program of Beethovens fifth symphony and Tarrodi's Songs of the Sky - based on Ukrainian folk melodies, we'll also hear Sæverud's Kjempeviseslåtten - A piece written during WW2 dedicated to "big and small fighters".
We hope this opening concert can be an inspiration to continue the struggle for a better world!
